ABOUT THE ROLE We are hiring an Engagement Manager to lead technical customer engagement, demonstrations, and partner integrations across the MENA region. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Field Operations, and is critical to converting strategic opportunities into deployed systems and long-term partnerships. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and execute technical demonstrations aligned with active tenders and customer requirements * Act as the primary technical interface for customers, partners, and OEMs * Translate operational needs into end-to-end system solutions (mission profiles, architectures, workflows) * Drive OEM integrations with primes, manufacturers, and strategic partners * Support Sales in high-impact deals and tender processes * Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and deployments * Drive the development and structuring of Solution Partner and OEM programs (frameworks, tiers, support models) * Continuously improve and standardize demonstration workflows, tools, and demo kits to ensure repeatability and quality * Maintain competitive benchmarking and deliver structured market insights * Capture and relay field feedback and customer insights to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions * Ensure readiness and execution of field deployments, logistics, and system delivery * Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Logistics CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Experience as Sales Engineer, Program Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar in UAV, robotics, defense, or complex systems * Proven track record in technical pre-sales, system deployments, or OEM integrations * Strong ability to operate across integrated hardware and software systems * Complex Project Management: Avid learner with a demonstrated capacity to handle large-scale, complex projects – offering innovative solutions and leading teams to deliver outstanding results. * Adaptability & Mobility: Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; embraces a “no-task-is-too-small” mentality. * Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading diverse principals – from junior members to senior executives. * Commitment: 100% dedication to Harmattan AI’s mission, vision, and ambitious growth plans, ready to go the extra mile to ensure operational excellence. * UAV pilot license strongly preferred * High willingness to travel across MENA (significant field presence required) We look forward to hearing how you can help shape the future of autonomous defense systems at Harmattan AI.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS * Support in the development and implementation of the corporate ESMS, ensuring adequate cascading across all AE portfolio of projects at all stages * Oversee and support in the development of project-specific ESMSs to ensure alignment with ESIA, ESAP, employer requirements, investors, and lenders’ requirements * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international, regional, and local environmental and social standards and legislation, as well as rapidly evolving ESG frameworks and requirements * Coordinate/interface with internal resources or external consultants accordingly * Support in the required tasks to obtain and maintain ISO certifications * Environmental and Social Studies and Assessments * Conduct E&S screening assessments of potential investment opportunities at origination stage * Conduct E&S due diligence assessments, both internally and coordinating third party assessments by E&S consultants of potential investment opportunities * Support in the preparation of tenders, evaluation of proposals and selection of specialised consultants to perform ESIA studies and other related studies for projects * Coordinate the tasks of the E&S consultants, monitor the progress of the ESIA process and review deliverables, to ensure Project requirements are fulfilled on time, budget and with the right quality and up to the required standards (Corporate requirements and Lender standards) * Coordinate with the technical, project finance and investment team as well as in-country teams for the planning, execution and timely consideration of requirements * Support in the interface with Lenders E&S teams and Lenders E&S advisors * Coordinate required E&S activities at country level, directing local E&S representatives across all relevant E&S aspects including the process of land acquisition where applicable * Preparation of E&S components of tender submissions, evaluation and negotiation of E&S / QHSE contractual obligations with EPC / Suppliers / BOP and O&M contractors Project Planning, Execution & Operations * Provide early environmental and social support with planning and relevant consent applications * Guide and manage the development of the Project-specific ESMMPs by the EPC / Suppliers / BOP and O&M contractors in line with applicable ESG compliance framework * Oversee and monitor E&S performance of EPC / Suppliers / BOP and O&M contractors through site inspections, progress meetings, review of documentation and performance indicators for Projects under construction and operation * Oversee the process followed by the Contractor to identify, correct and prevent incidents, accidents, non-conformances and grievances * Develop monthly, quarterly and annual E&S internal and external monitoring reports * Maintain strong liaison with the Project team at Corporate level, Country level and Project level * Work closely with internal (QHSE, technical, investments, contracts, legal) & external stakeholders to identify and address E&S risks, and material & emerging issues * Coordinate required E&S activities at country level, directing local E&S representatives * Communicate project requirements, environmental & social procedures and standards to relevant parties and oversee their implementation * Balance works to be completed internally or sub-contracted Social Development & Investment * Support the development of the ‘social investment’ strategy in line with best international practice and specific operating guidelines (e.g. in human rights, community development framework, stakeholder engagement strategy) * Support the identification, assessment of feasibility, development, and implementation of social investment initiatives and projects across the AE portfolio, including activity steps, resourcing, budget requirements, and timelines * Manage and monitor the successful implementation of social investment initiatives while providing guidance, direction, and supervision of local E&S representatives; support them on engagement with local communities, including consultation and disclosure events, community meetings, evaluating, reporting, and resolving community grievances, and providing feedback to communities on issues * Participate in and monitor the implementation of stakeholder engagement plans * Establish collaborative and positive relationships with different stakeholders, particularly with local communities QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Environmental discipline, Engineering, International Development or equivalent experience Master’s degree in relevant subject Preferred Experience: * Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a similar role * Previous experience with a Developer, an E&S Consultancy, a development financial institution and/or international construction company * Significant experience in front-end environmental and social studies and assessments, particularly for renewable energy assets and preferably in wind and solar PV technologies * Significant proven experience in the development of ESMS including environmental, health & Safety, labour, social and quality management plans * Extensive experience working with IFC Performance Standards on Environmental & Social Sustainability, EBRD E&S Policy, EIB E&S Standards and E&S frameworks of development financial institutions and/or multilateral banks * Previous experience in emerging markets is a must, preferably in MENA and/or Western Balkans Job Specific Skills: * Proven ability to work in a team, self-motivated, with a collaborative and committed attitude and strong capacity to influence others while being diplomatic * Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders/parties * Quality focused with a strive for excellence and demonstrated report writing skills * Shares ideas and expertise proactively, provides feedback constructively, and demonstrates receptiveness to new thinking * Strong sense of ethics and integrity * Passionate about environmental protection and socio-economic development, with a strong affinity for working with communities and understanding of cultural sensitivities * Profound understanding of business impact on society/ecosystems and vice versa through previous multi-disciplinary experience (e.g. NGO, government, and corporate) * Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Other spoken languages (i.e. Serbian, ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the employee may be required to perform duties outside of those mentioned as operationally required and at the discretion of the Line Manager.
