The Packaging Supervisor fosters a positive, accountable team environment while driving performance across people, processes, and equipment. responsibilities: * Own shift-level performance for packaging operations, including safety, quality, service, and cost, across blow molding, filling, sleeving, case packing, palletizing, and all auxiliary and cleaning equipment. * Directly supervise, coach, and develop packaging operators, ensuring employees are trained, certified, and capable of safely operating equipment to standard while meeting daily production requirements. * Hold employees accountable to company policies, procedures, processes and conduct through timely coaching, documentation, and collaboration with management on progressive discipline. * Ensure accurate time and attendance administration, validating attendance points, and addressing discrepancies promptly. * Lead all aspects of shift execution, including production runs, sanitation activities, changeovers, and planned shutdowns, ensuring adherence to schedules, standards, and priorities. * Facilitate effective shift handover and daily direction-setting meetings, clearly communicating priorities, risks, performance gaps, and expectations to ensure continuity and accountability across shifts. * Champion a strong safety culture by immediately addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors, escalating hazards and incidents appropriately, adjusting production plans to mitigate risk, and serving as first responder when trained. * Communicate proactively with cross-functional partners (Maintenance, and Clean-Inspect-Lubricate (CIL) tasks. * Verify proper execution of CIP processes to ensure equipment is production-ready within required timelines. * Initiate and manage product holds per Quality standards and coordinate with Quality and Warehouse teams for proper segregation and traceability. * Lead held-product rework activities in alignment with Quality guidance and documentation requirements. * Lead root cause analysis for shift losses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained. * Manage consumable inventory daily to support planned production requirements. * Contribute to the creation, revision, and deployment of SOPs and One Point Lessons (OPLs), ensuring changes are trained and embedded into standard work. skills/qualifications required: * Bachelor’s degree in a related field or prior supervisory or people-leadership experience with direct oversight of hourly production employees in a high-volume environment * Minimum of one (1) year of PURPOSE OF ROLE: Primarily responsible for the automated packaging line activities. Will be responsible for inspecting packaged material for conformance with specifications, tallying, and observing operations to identify equipment malfunctions and/or repair needs and making adjustments as needed. Collaborate with Packaging Supervisor to ensure safety and production goals are achieved. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Record product, packaging, and other information on specific forms and warehouse management systems * Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE. * Ensure that you have a productive, safe, clean, and efficient work environment * Maintain productivity and quality levels as set by the Packaging Supervisor. * Conduct visual checks of machinery and escalate any issues to appropriate management. * Perform required clean down duties between packaging assignments. * Identify damages and report overages/shortages for quality deficiencies. * Perform any additional duties assigned by the Packaging Supervisor. Job Title: QC Technician Location: Bethel, PA Shift: 7PM-7AM (on a 2-2-3 Schedule) Summary of Job Under the direction of the Quality & Safety Manager oversees packaging operations along with hourly and temporary employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance. Adheres to customer specifications and delivery requirements, while working in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures. Overview: The QA Inspector ensures constant quality monitoring during production. Responsible for maintaining continuous product quality during production and guiding workflow by monitoring packaging work force’s quality inspections and packaging process. Performs quality inspections at regularly prescribed intervals and documents accordingly across multiple production lines. Helps employees in the department perform their duties correctly. Helps team operate at or above designated run speeds. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Perform and document hourly inspections and run profile, retain samples per EverTec Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Monitor mailer production, including packaging, for defects and inaccuracies per EverTec quality standards; correct and report any non-conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed in collaboration with Team Lead and Shift Supervisor as needed. * Train Packers on EverTec Quality Assurance (QA) SOP; regularly conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are being performed. * Work with Packaging Team Lead and Operations to resolve issues per EverTec QA SOPs. * Communicate effectively with upcoming shift to ensure smooth handoff; keep open dialogue with staff to minimize delays. * Help to identify raw material defects, captures relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.) and forward to Quality Manager.
