Community Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Female)
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
At Thornbury Community Services, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live life to the fullest. We’re looking for healthcare
assistants who want to make a real difference - helping people with complex health needs remain at home, maintain independence,
and enjoy the things that matter most to them.
Your role goes beyond practical care. You’ll build trust with individuals and their families, create safe environments, and
empower people to take trips, reconnect with hobbies, and thrive in their own community. Every shift is an opportunity to change a
life.
Why This Role Matters
Joining Thornbury means being part of something bigger - giving people the chance to live with dignity, choice, and joy despite
complex health needs.
We’re looking for compassionate, confident carers to support an adult female in her home and local community. If you enjoy lively
environments, friendly dogs, and being part of a close family setting, this role will feel right at home.
You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to develop advanced clinical skills, including tracheostomy and ventilator
management. Once trained, you’ll work allocated shifts that allow you to build confidence and take the lead in delivering
exceptional care.
Your day‑to‑day support will include community outings, shopping trips, and visits to the day center — helping our client stay
active, connected, and independent. As the home is not easily accessible by public transport, you must be able to drive your own
vehicle to and from shifts. A valid driving license is essential, as you will also drive the client’s automatic mobility vehicle
as part of your daily duties.
If you’re ready to bring your skills, energy, and kindness to a role that truly changes lives, we’d love to welcome you to the
team.
