We are headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark with offices in Boston, London, and Gurgaon and local presence across the United States, Europe, and Asia.  The Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment using Agile methodologies. You are experienced with Microsoft. You are great at keeping an eye on the product vision and key challenges, and you are able to develop a high-quality production code. You should have a cloud first mindset and you should build for failures. Role Responsibilities: * Develop high quality software, design complex systems, and take architectural decisions. * Review and Debug code and own the technical documentation. * Mentor junior and mid-level engineers. * Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver software solutions. * Grow engineering teams by interviewing, recruiting, and hiring. * Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services and applications at scale. * Stay on the leading edge of development practices. * Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish continuous integrations and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, Automating the deployment process. * Monitors troubleshoot application performance, making improvements as needed. Technical Qualifications/ Role Requirements (Must - Have Skills) * At least 6 years of experience as a professional software developer in commercial projects and production systems with a strong track record. * Strong development experience with Microsoft .NET technologies (including the latest versions .NET 6, .NET 7). * Strong understanding of asynchronous and parallel programming. * Experience with coding languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, GraphQL, and NodeJS. * Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. * Experience in deployment platforms like Docker, Kubernetes etc. * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other enterprise database types. Pinterest's Data Privacy Engineering team builds access control, auditing, and data handling services and solutions used across the company to power Pinterest experiences. AI is transforming how software is built, data is analyzed, and users interact with software. We're looking for a Senior Engineer based in Dublin to help build the next generation of Data Privacy solutions for AI platforms, ensuring agents interact with data responsibly and transparently. What you’ll do:  * Design services and processes used to safely onboard new AI use cases * Create isolated environments to enable secure agent-driven data processing without direct data exposure * Design and maintain an auditing pipeline to monitor and log all AI sandbox data egress * Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams across Pinterest to identify and tackle new data privacy challenges What we’re looking for: * Strong coding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute hands-on across multiple technology stacks * Strong cross-team communication skills with the ability to plan and execute complex, multi-stakeholder projects * Hands-on experience with AI-based engineering * Some understanding of access controls, security systems, or data governance frameworks * Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms is a strong plus * Comfort with experiment-driven development and an eagerness to tackle novel, ambiguous technical challenges * Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience   Relocation Statement:  * This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
