Thermoteknix is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manufacturing Manager to lead and develop all manufacturing and
production operations across the business. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality and scalable
production of advanced thermal imaging and sensing systems, supporting both current programmes and future growth.
The successful candidate will oversee production planning, manufacturing, assembly, test operations, supply chain coordination,
quality performance and continuous improvement initiatives. They will play a key leadership role in delivering operational
excellence within a high-technology, regulated manufacturing environment.

Position Description Title: Manufacturing Manager I Department: Plant Overhead Immediate Supervisor: Operations Manager Status: Exempt Position Purpose: Manage the daily operations in plant. Provides leadership and direction to ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are achieved. Principle Accountabilities * Serves as principal oversight of on the job duties for Department supervisors including assigning workloads, overseeing quality, and advocating for the safety and health of employees. * Identifies, develops, and prioritizes manufacturing plans to achieve service, quality and productivity goals including continuous improvement and waste reduction projects. * Implements and sustains IPS performance metrics and assists in moving plant activities towards assigned certification goals. * Develops employee commitment and ownership to drive plant continuous improvement projects while adhering to safety and quality system requirements. * Establishes a clear vision for areas assigned that complements the site and corporate vision while optimizing the use of technology to improve performance, service, and quality. * Manages the labor and capital resources to optimize the systems and methods which meet the business needs while balancing labor and expense budgets including scheduling of resources to ensure efficient operation and planned maintenance of equipment. * Key site leadership team member that interacts with other departments in an open and participative manner. Interacts with others in the company and with external contacts. * Assists in developing and executing annual performance plan to achieve business goals for the site. * Related duties as assigned by supervisor. Essential Skills and Experience * B.S. in Engineering, Business Administration or other (applicable) technical discipline preferred * 5+ years' experience in a supervisor or manager role required, leading in a union environment highly preferred * Previous PSM experience is preferred * Proficient use of computer-based skills including Microsoft Office Suite and web-based technologies. * Demonstrated manufacturing-based project management and continuous improvement skills, including a fundamental understanding of lean six sigma and IPS. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) which includes active listening. * Ability to manage heavy workload within busy manufacturing environment and successfully complete projects within assigned deadlines *

To set you up for success, you'll receive comprehensive training during the week, tailored to your experience and learning pace. Training will be on Mondays to Fridays - we can be flexible to fit around you, and offer an initial day shift, rotating earlies and lates shifts, just earlies or lates or nights. You'll benefit from a salary of £40,000.00 plus shift allowance starting from 25%, rewarding you from day one. Permanent Shift Pattern (after training complete) Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5:30am - 6:30pm (37.5 hours per week) Training Shift Patterns available: * Earlies - 5.30am - 2:00pm Monday to Thursday, 5:30am - 11:00am on Friday * Lates - 1:45pm - 10:15pm Monday to Thursday, 10:45am - 4:15pm on Friday * Days - 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm on Friday * Nights - 10:00pm - 5:45am Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm - 8:50pm on Friday As a Manufacturing Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your shift, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Your key responsibility will be to organise daily and weekly shift activities against plan to manufacture orthopaedic implants and instrumentation, in accordance with our design and quality specifications and Company policy and requirements. You are also responsible for cascading key strategic information and messages to your team and translating team feedback into effective actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
