Business Analyst

BRIEFING You’d be joining our Mid‑office team, the heart of our mortgage and credit assessment engine, where calculations, reporting, valuation and party integrations all flow through your services.    Working closely with product and other engineering teams, you’ll help design and build REST APIs that track and apply domain‑specific rules – from credit limits and approval policies to configuration changes – across all phases of the assessment journey.    In your day‑to‑day work, you’ll use Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x to design and build the services and APIs that power our cloud‑native core banking platform.  You’ll work on features that track and apply configuration changes to domain rules (such as credit limits and approval policies), support mortgage and credit assessments across multiple phases, and keep our Mid‑office services healthy and reliable through clear monitoring and automated tests.    You’ll be able to bring your experience, learn from colleagues, and have real ownership of how we evolve the Mid‑office platform, while seeing the impact of your work across multiple assessment phases and services. ABOUT YOU * You are a seasoned Software Engineer with solid experience building back‑end services in Java (Java 17+, ideally Java 21). * You have hands‑on experience with Spring Boot (3.x preferred), and you’re comfortable designing and implementing REST APIs that are simple to use and easy to maintain. * You write clean, testable code and have experience with unit and integration testing. * You understand how to design for correctness and performance without over‑engineering. * You are comfortable with more robust systems and curious about potential improvements in all the aspects of your work.
