You bring  4+YEARS of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.  You will thrive in this role if you are:  * A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo  * A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing  * Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data  * Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)  Role responsibilities Data Infrastructure & Architecture  * Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures and pipelines  * Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for batch and real-time data processing  * Develop data models and schemas optimized for analytics and reporting  * Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data systems  Platform-Agnostic Development  * Work with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) based on client requirements  * Implement data solutions using various technologies and frameworks  * Adapt quickly to new tools and platforms as project needs evolve  * Maintain expertise across different cloud ecosystems and services  Data Pipeline Development  * Create automated data ingestion pipelines from various sources (APIs, databases, files, streaming)  * Implement data transformation logic using modern data processing frameworks  * Build monitoring and alerting systems for data pipeline health  * Optimize pipeline performance and cost-efficiency  Collaboration & Integration  * Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders  * Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD for data pipelines  * Partner with client teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions  * Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making  MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS Technical Skills  * Minimum 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field  * Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala/Java  * Experience with SQL and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)  * Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks:   * Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem  * Apache Kafka for streaming data  * Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools  * Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and technologies  * Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)  * Understanding of data modeling principles and best practices  Cloud & Platform Experience  * Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)  * Familiarity with cloud-native data services:   * Data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics services  * Serverless computing and event-driven architectures  * Identity and access management for data systems  * Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)  Data & Analytics  * Understanding of data governance and security principles  * Experience with data quality frameworks and monitoring  * Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design  * Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics tools  * Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)    NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS   Advanced Technical Skills  * Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, Databricks)  * Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices  * Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices  * Familiarity with data mesh and data fabric concepts  * Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune)  Industry Experience  * Experience in digital agency or consulting environment  * Background in financial services, e-commerce, retail, or customer experience platforms  * Knowledge of marketing technology and customer data platforms  * Experience with real-time analytics and personalization systems  Soft Skills  * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities  * Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions  * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects  * Adaptability to rapidly changing technology landscape  * * Experience mentoring junior team members  If you do not meet all the listed qualifications or have gaps in your experience, we still encourage you to apply. The Engineering Architect Team The Architecture team is a small group of very senior engineers reporting to our VP of Engineering Excellence, working broadly across the organization in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Security. We partner deeply with other Engineering teams for large projects, and provide direction and architectural guidance for smaller initiatives. We have a dual-pronged charter to "level up the tech stack and level up the people stack" via both technical contributions and partnerships and mentoring. The Role Auth0 is a developer product at its core — and increasingly, the developers building with us aren't just humans. AI agents are now a first-class consumer of our SDKs, APIs, and documentation. This role owns the architectural vision for how Auth0 is experienced across three dimensions: DX (Developer Experience — how human developers build with Auth0), UX (User Experience — how users experience Auth0 products), and AX (Agentic Experience — how AI agents interact with and build on Auth0).  You'll work across our SDK ecosystem, public APIs, documentation, and product surfaces to ensure that every touchpoint is consistent, delightful, and easy to build on — whether the builder is a human or an agent. You'll also contribute directly to how we build internally: creating the skills, guardrails, and patterns that our own in-house agents use, ensuring that agent-assisted development at Auth0 produces the same high-quality, consistent output as human-led development. What you'll be doing * Define and drive the architectural vision for DX, UX, and AX across Auth0's public products, SDKs, and APIs * Identify and address inconsistencies across Auth0's product surfaces, establishing patterns and standards that make the experience feel unified and intentional * Architect and contribute to the SDK and API design layer, ensuring our developer-facing interfaces are ergonomic, consistent, and built for both human and agent consumers * Design and build agent skills, guardrails, and contextual tooling (MCP servers, SKILL.md, llms.txt, structured documentation) that enable agents to build correctly with Auth0  * Embed within Engineering teams for large initiatives, providing architectural guidance and lighter-touch direction for smaller efforts * Partner closely with the Design team as a key stakeholder, ensuring engineering implementation reflects and reinforces the product's UX direction * Contribute to Auth0's Developer Experience Principles in practice — not just as guidance, but through hands-on implementation that raises the bar  * Lead by doing: reviewing, prototyping, and contributing code across SDKs, tooling, and documentation systems * Participate in our Engineering Leadership Team with other architects, directors, and executives * Mentor and uplevel engineers across the organization on experience-focused architecture What you'll bring to the role * Experience : 15 to 20 year . * Deep experience designing developer-facing products: SDKs, APIs, CLIs, documentation systems, or developer portals * A strong point of view on what great DX looks like — and the ability to identify, articulate, and fix where it falls short * Familiarity with the emerging AX space: agent-readable documentation formats, MCP servers, agent skills, and how AI agents consume APIs and tooling auth0.com * Knowledge of Identity protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML, and how they surface in developer-facing products * Experience working across multiple product surfaces to drive consistency — you've seen what fragmentation looks like and know how to fix it * Hands-on coding ability: this is not a purely advisory role; you'll be expected to build, prototype, and contribute directly * Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence engineers, product managers, and designers * Ability to drive technical decisions to conclusion while balancing quality, velocity, and pragmatism * Excellence at creating clarity and alignment across teams without direct authority Extra credit: * Experience contributing to or maintaining open source SDKs or libraries * Familiarity with structured content and documentation systems designed for LLM consumption (llms.txt, OpenAPI, structured changelogs) * Experience with frontend or full-stack development, particularly in the context of developer tooling or product surfaces like Universal Login #LI-Hybrid  #P24597_3406311 The Okta Experience * Supporting Your Well-Being  * Driving Social Impact  * Developing Talent and Fostering Connection + Community We are intentional about connection.
