We are looking for a Engineering Manager to build and lead a world-class teams of engineers that will help design, implement and

operate high-quality distributed services that are highly reliable, scalable, performant, and secure. In this role, you will

recruit, retain and coach multiple teams of engineers and engineering managers to innovate, execute, deliver and grow to their

peak performance. You will drive positive and supportive work environment with a consistent track record of delivering on

commitments. You will communicate proactively and effectively to different kinds of audiences, including executives and

non-technical stakeholders.

You Will:

Focus on team members and coaching them to play to their strengths, grow and deliver peak performance
Delegate and harness the aggregate strength of your team.
Focuses on individual and team needs to foster a positive culture consistent with Smartsheet values.
Actively helps individuals and the overall team to set priorities and focus
Review team's designs and provide feedback on deployment safety, resilience, scale, performance, and security
Lead and facilitate cross-team interactions, communication, and dependencies
Ensure all changes are fully tested before being deployed
Ensure deployment plans are well-considered and include appropriate scalability and load tests
Facilitate feedback and discussions with Product and UX Design on customer needs, user experience, implementation efficiency,

and performance

Perform other duties as assigned

You Have:

12 years software service development experience
4+ years previous management experience
Experience building highly scalable, high available customer facing applications
Familiarity with SaaS apps (Google Docs, Office365, Salesforce, etc.)
Experience building teams through recruiting and retention
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, equivalent industry experience, or equivalent educational experience.
Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis
Fluency in English is required

MongoDB is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Atlas Organization. The organization is responsible for building MongoDB Atlas, our database-as-a-service offering and fastest growing product. Atlas allows users to deploy fault-tolerant, secure, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in just minutes. This includes developing software to interface with the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) in order to bring security, durability, availability, and performance to all deployments of MongoDB. The Atlas Data Federation & Archiving team is an engineering team responsible for the Atlas capabilities that allow customers to move data from hot to cold storage and run federated queries over that data. The team builds Atlas Data Federation, a distributed query engine that lets users query data across Atlas Clusters and cloud object storage through a unified service. The team also builds Atlas Online Archive which allows customers to move data from Atlas Clusters into fully managed cloud object storage while preserving a seamless query experience across hot and cold datasets. We are forming a new Atlas Data Federation & Archiving team in the Dublin area. The Engineering Manager who fills this position will be pivotal in growing that team. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Cork and would like a hybrid or in-office working model.
