Som Forecast Planning Manager har du en nyckelroll i att utveckla och förvalta våra planeringsprocesser och de system som styr materialflödet till verksamheten. Genom analyser, förbättringsarbete och nära samarbete med olika delar av organisationen bidrar du till att säkerställa att rätt material finns tillgängligt när det behövs och att planeringen fungerar så effektivt som möjligt.
En stor del av arbetet sker i vårt materialplaneringssystem, där du följer upp behov och analyserar data för att utveckla både arbetssätt och systemstöd. Rollen innebär också många kontaktytor, där du samarbetar med kollegor, verksamheten, IT och systemleverantörer för att lösa problem och driva förbättringar.

Vi söker dig som har en eftergymnasial utbildning inom exempelvis logistik, industriell ekonomi, teknik eller annan relevant inriktning. Du har erfarenhet av planering, materialstyrning, supply chain eller liknande område, alternativt ett stort intresse för att utvecklas inom området.
För att trivas i rollen tror vi att du är en person som gillar att arbeta i system och har lätt för att sätta dig in i nya arbetssätt och verktyg. Du är analytisk, strukturerad och motiveras av att lösa problem och hitta förbättringsmöjligheter. Samtidigt är du en engagerad lagspelare som uppskattar samarbete och bidrar till en positiv arbetsmiljö.
Du har goda kunskaper i Excel och uttrycker dig väl på både svenska och engelska i tal och skrift.

The opportunity At HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) you will create a sustainable future. HVDC is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. In this exciting role as Project Planning and Controls Specialist, you will be part of Hitachi Energy HVDC business and based in Västerås or Ludvika, Sweden. You will be acting as a key resource for planning, scheduling, controlling and monitoring of customer specific large-scale projects and delivering accurate and thorough information about the project status, including the schedule, progress, planned, actual, forecast, resources and productivity trends, and risks, to the project manager and line managers in a timely manner. How you’ll make an impact Leading the Project Planning and Controlling team for one or more HVDC project(s) in the region. Contributing to the on-time delivery of the project. Driving collaboration between the partners, stakeholders and customers. Ensuring close cooperation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders in your role as a central contact person. About the role: This is a unique opportunity to shape a global demand planning capability in a growing aftermarket business, where your work directly impacts customer experience and commercial performance. This role sits at the heart of how we plan, forecast and trade the Parcels business. You’ll be responsible for designing the planning methodologies, forecasting frameworks and analytical approaches that translate commercial ambition into robust, evidence-based plans in direct partnership with our advanced analytics team/Data Scientists, helping the business understand where we are heading, and making sure we have the right planning foundations in place to support growth. The team combines commercial judgement with statistical modelling, causal inference, AI and decision science to support better business decisions. You’ll own the commercial planning methodology across budgeting, rolling forecasting, latest estimates and scenario planning, ensuring planning outputs are statistically robust, commercially relevant and operationally actionable. You’ll work closely with Commercial leaders, Logistics, Finance and country teams to make sure we have a clear view of demand, revenue, margin and the actions needed to deliver against our targets. This role is not just about running the planning cycle. It’s about transforming how commercial planning is performed by combining statistical modelling, causal analysis, AI-assisted workflows and automation to build a faster, more accurate and more scalable planning capability. We are specifically looking for someone who has already used tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or other AI/automation tools to improve budgeting, forecasting, planning or analytical processes. This could include using AI to improve forecast accuracy, improve model calibration, automate variance analysis, speed up budget builds, validate assumptions, generate planning commentary, build scenario models or make planning outputs more consistent and scalable. Requirements * Experience in commercial planning, business planning, trading, merchandising, demand planning, finance, strategy or a similar commercially focused role. * Experience designing, implementing and improving large statistical forecasting models and translating them into actionable commercial forecasts. * A practical understanding of how to use AI responsibly in a business planning context, including where it can add value and where human judgement, governance and validation are still critical. * Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or similar to improve budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting or analytical processes. * Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies including time series forecasting, regression modelling, seasonality, trend decomposition, demand sensing and modelling. * Experience evaluating forecast accuracy using appropriate statistical measures such as MAPE, WAPE, RMSE, bias or similar metrics. * Experience improving planning processes through automation, AI-assisted workflows, better data structures or more scalable tools. * Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and turn them into clear commercial insight. * Comfortable working with revenue, margin, pricing, demand, conversion, forecast accuracy or similar commercial KPIs. * Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Experience with Looker, SQL, Python, Apps Script or other BI/automation tools would be a plus. * A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to connect numbers to business decisions. * Good stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across Commercial, Finance, Data, Logistics and country teams. * A structured, organised way of working, with the ability to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous topics.
