The firm's core work is holistic at its approach, and it has divisions in structural, MEP, Geotechnical, and emerging construction technology such as 3D printing of concrete, technology, and 3D laser scanning.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to execute and manage complex structural engineering tasks for large-scale projects. This role requires advanced technical proficiency, value engineering skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality structural solutions under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in structural design, effective project management, and the ability to mentor junior team members while driving innovation and technical excellence.

We are now looking for a Senior Mechanical Structural Engineer who wants to help shape the next generation of renewable energy technology.
About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Structural Engineer at SeaPattern, you will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity, durability, and reliability of our floating hydrokinetic turbine systems.
You will lead the structural design of critical components throughout the product development lifecycle from concept development and prototyping to industrialization and deployment. Working closely with mechanical design engineers, CFD engineers, manufacturing, and testing teams, you will develop robust, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions capable of operating in demanding marine environments.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges where structural performance, manufacturability, and long-term reliability all matter equally.
Your work will include:
Performing structural analyses and finite element simulations (FEA) to validate and optimize designs.
Developing structural designs for turbine systems and supporting components.
Selecting materials based on structural performance, corrosion resistance, fatigue life, and manufacturability.
Collaborating closely with mechanical design engineers to ensure seamless integration between structural and mechanical systems.
Defining and supporting structural testing, validation, and verification activities.
Evaluating structural performance through simulations, laboratory testing, and field validation.
Driving design improvements based on testing results and operational feedback.
Supporting design reviews, technical documentation, and engineering decision-making.
Continuously improving structural design methodologies, analysis tools, and engineering best practices.
Who We're Looking For
We believe you're an experienced structural engineer who combines strong analytical capabilities with a practical engineering mindset. You enjoy taking ownership, solving technically challenging problems, and working closely with colleagues across multiple engineering disciplines.
To succeed in this role, you likely have:
A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), or CAE engineering.
Strong knowledge of structural analysis and finite element modelling (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
Experience designing structures subjected to dynamic loading, fatigue, and demanding operating environments.
You are also an engineer who enjoys collaboration, communicates clearly in English, and has a genuine passion for developing next-generation renewable energy technology.

Mission Brief
You will be responsible for the structural analysis of entire assemblies belonging to our rocket’s primary and secondary
structures. From trading design concepts to sizing and validating design iterations and examining the impact of manufacturing
deviations, you will play an important role in guiding design decisions and pushing performance and reliability of our structures
forward.
As a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer you will play a major role in improving our overall analysis and verification workflow by
defining standards, sharing technical knowledge and reviewing your colleagues’ results and identifying action points.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
* Perform detailed stress analysis of aerospace structures and components using both classical hand calculations and advanced
finite element methods (FEM), mostly of CFRP structures
* Identify failure scenarios and collaborate with design engineers to review and optimize structural designs
* Analise and provide possible solutions to manufacturing non-conformities
* Develop test plans and support physical testing of components to verify sizing assumptions and qualify hardware.
* Prepare comprehensive stress analysis reports and documentation for internal/external use
* Improve our standards and toolchain for structural verification
* Be familiar with classical design standards and have experience in the use of CAD software
* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team
Qualification Checklist
* Degree in the field of Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical or (Computational) Mechanics, or any other related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in analysing aerospace structures
* Profound knowledge in classical hand-calculations and advanced FE Modelling of aerospace structures (Hypermesh, Optistruct etc)
* High degree of independence and confidence in assessing and trading design risks
* Strong engineering intuition with regards to load paths and failure mechanisms
* Holistic perspective on development of structures
* Fluent English

* Multiple years of experience using CAD
* Good understanding of composite structures’ behaviour over a wide range of temperatures
* Experience with winding & draping of carbon fibre (design or hands-on)

We are seeking an experienced Senior FEM Structural Analysis Engineer to join our high-performance Structural Design and Analysis
department and play a key role in the development of cutting-edge Formula 1 car components.
This position for the Audi Revolut F1® Team can be based at Audi Motorsport Technical Centre, Bicester, UK
DEINE AUFGABE
* Perform advanced linear and non-linear finite element analyses on composite and metallic components and assemblies.
* Define and validate structural load cases using first-principles engineering approaches, simulation data, and track feedback.
* Support the design and optimisation of critical Formula 1 systems, including suspension components, aerodynamic surfaces,
chassis structures, gearbox and mechanical assemblies.
* Deliver structural sign-off documentation ensuring compliance with internal standards, FIA regulations, and project deadlines.
* Collaborate closely with Design Engineers to achieve lightweight and robust solutions through iterative optimisation.
* Develop and improve analysis methodologies, automation tools, and best practices to increase department efficiency and
technical capability.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and contribute to the continuous development of the analysis team.
* Support cross-functional projects involving vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and multidisciplinary optimisation where required.
DEIN PROFIL
* Degree (MSc, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
* Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in structural analysis within a high-performance motorsport, automotive, or aerospace
environment.
* Proven track record of delivering FEM sign-off activities for complex composite and metallic structures.
* Strong understanding of structural mechanics, fatigue, buckling, impact analysis, vibration as well as optimisation techniques
(both on composites and metals).
* Experience working under aggressive development timescales with multiple concurrent projects.
* Bolted and bonded joint analysis and correlation with physical testing.
* Strong first-principles engineering mindset with excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to make sound technical decisions under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory
