The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC), located in the heart of New York City, seeks a Dispensary Technician. This is a rare

This position is tasked with filling prescriptions, all other clerical and other duties applicable to the dispensary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fill prescriptions
Order, store and keep track of stock
Greet clients and provide them with efficient, courteous service, both in person and by telephone
Attend all applicable training courses as offered/required by AMC
Maintain clean work area, including mopping/sweeping
All other duties related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent
College degree and 2 yrs. work experience or 4 yrs. work experience, two in similar position
Hospital or retail pharmacy experience and/or certification a plus
Ability to type and enter information on computer
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to interact calmly, patiently, and effectively with clients
Ability to work reliably on individual tasks as well as collaboratively in a team environment, showing a proactive approach to

supporting daily operations

Prepared to manage steady workflow demands productively
Flexible regarding work hours
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere strictly to Controlled Substance

Protocol, OSHA and recycling regulations

BASIC FUNCTION: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the facility being maintained in good repair at all times. Technician will fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, interior and exterior building surfaces. This individual will paint, repair flooring, and work on plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems. These responsibilities may differ between Building Location, depending on business necessities and site requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform preventive maintenance service, troubleshoot, diagnose and repairs in one or more skill areas, including disassembling machines, adjust mechanical parts, repair or replace broken parts, motors, pumps, belts, fans, minor plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations according to established procedures, manufacturer’s instructions, federal, state, and local regulations. * Performs tasks such as not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance, nurse’s call system, intercom systems, CCTV, railing, windows, furniture, wheelchairs and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman. * Utilize computerized maintenance management system TLS to generate, complete and close Work Orders and PMs. Pull, prioritize, and schedule assigned Work Orders and PMs. Communicate repairs and scheduled PMs with Administrator. * Keeps maintenance log, for facility assigned, up to date by completing and noting routine maintenance checks including, as required: running the emergency generator, fire alarm system, water temperatures, checks, lubricates, and cleans facility equipment as per PM work orders assigned by computer, call lights, and cleans/replaces filters on ventilation systems as assigned. * Keeps maintenance shop, storage areas, tools, equipment, radios in good working condition. Maintain inventory in proper bins/locations and inventory equipment and supplies as needed. * Previews SDSs on a regular basis for understanding, proper use and control if required. * Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight. * Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. * Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. * Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. * Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. * Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work. * Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. * May be required to assist with special events. * May drive a cart or other vehicle with a valid driver’s license. * Assists skilled trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standard duties to learn. * Learn new skills as required for advancement and certification. * May be required to utilize basic cleaning and other chemicals.
